Nancy Correa

Nancy Correa is a transaction attorney and civil litigator with over 13 years of experience. Since becoming a lawyer, Ms. Correa has worked for law firms doing both litigation and transactional work, and has worked in-house as general counsel for a native government and for several companies in the United States. Ms. Correa's experience is diverse: While in Canada her practice of law included criminal, family and civil litigation as well as corporate law, employment law, wills and estates and all aspects of Native law (governance, commercial leases, rights litigation, etc) . After moving to San Diego in 2001, Ms. Correa's practice has included construction defect litigation, business litigation, trade secret litigation, employment law, business law, construction law, patent and trademark law, real estate law, etc. Ms. Correa continues to do general counsel work for several companies, e.g. negotiating various types of contracts, filing and maintaining trademarks, responding to subpoenas, addressing employment matters, etc.

Ms. Correa graduated from the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Law in 1997 and graduated with distinction from the University of Victoria in 1994 with a B.A., majoring in political science. She also has a Journalism diploma from Mount Royal College in Calgary, AB and worked as a journalist for several newspapers in Western Canada for six years before returning to University to become a lawyer. Ms. Correa was admitted to practice law in British Columbia in 1998 and admitted to practice in California in 2003.
